Who we are

Distinctability was founded by two professionals who want to help others to accelerate change in the levels of opportunities that exist for people with disabilities.  We are doing this through providing information, raising awareness, and introducing services and solutions around Assistive Technologies and communication innovations.

This extends to helping inform & educate employers to become more sustainably & confidently involved themselves.

Very simple really but we have ambitious plans…

Kimberly Neale

Kimberly Neale is a passionate, energetic advocate for inclusive employment, dedicated to supporting the empowerment of people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, discover, showcase and market their unique abilities and workplace value-proposition.  She brings over 15 years of experience in training, employment skills coaching, job development, and most recently, supportive technology consulting.  Combined with her education in marketing and global development for social change, Kimberly is a member of the Career Professionals of Canada and a Certified Résumé Strategist who is committed to contributing her talents, experiences and passions to helping all people achieve their career goals through Distinct Ability, knowing that every person has skills and abilities to offer.

Kimberly plays a leadership role within Silicon Halton / Diverse IT; an industry-led, technology-focused community, committed to creative approaches to using technology, building connections and incorporating innovative products, and programs to make lives more meaningful.  She has been recognized for her work and contributions to the successful program design and delivery of Employment Ontario’s Youth Job Connection program and played a key role in the deployment of the Region of Halton’s e-learning and mentoring applications.

Pete Bennett

Pete has been a leading light in the Educational Technology and eLearning field for over 20 years. After graduating into the construction sector in the UK Pete stepped into learning and consultancy in 1988, and went on to form a company, Learning Resources International Ltd. that established Learning Centres and Resource Centres globally.

LRI then became one of the leading Educational Technology content and platform providers and one of the first exponents of truly blended eLearning and Accredited qualifications and solutions.  An internationally recognised organisation, it’s global systems, from online Universities to on-line qualification pathways, became synonymous with innovation and change in Educational Technology.  Pete has worked extensively in Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, China, Europe, Central Europe, Canada the US and the West Indies and has advised organisations as diverse as the Cayman Islands Government, Zayeed University and the Qatar Investment Authority.

Since 2017 he has been working in Assistive Technology in the Intellectual Disability and Autism sector and along with Kim Neale has developed a hunger and to make a difference by helping organisations further modernise employment practices and support models.   The emergence of Distinctability initially in Canada and soon in the UK is the first step in this direction.

Since 2012 he has been an advisory board member of the Cranfield University CUBIC business incubation team. As a leading innovator in the field of Educational Technology his advice, experience, expertise and ideas are in high demand.
